Gallery 211 is proud to share an evening with Shannon Richardson and her art show "Fictive of the Farm Girl". Shannon states, "Fictive of the Farm Girl" is a collection of work which shows the power of intention. By examining these works, created over the past year, I have gone from painting a fascination of memory to an empowerment of my own longing for life. This is the story of how I became, not what I was, and turning these thoughts into something very real and now tangible as art. I live the simple life of the farm girl, grounding myself in the earth, planting the seeds, and now reaping the harvest. As my garden grows so does the realization that creating art is intrinsic to creating life. Metephorically and literally I have become what I paint. The blank canvas is the highway, I cannot go in reverse, the art is the destination. I live each day, as each painting evolves in earnest, for I am me, and this is now.
